BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS BRING BLISS IN QUEENS

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn … and flowers and vegetables are blooming in Queens!

Over at our site at 45-57 211 Street in Bayside, Queens, new tulips, roses, and other colorful plants now beautify the front of the building while the backyard is bursting with edible plants making our plates greener and our smiles brighter! Thanks to Direct Care Counselor Elaine Wilkerson, the expanding garden now includes peach, cherry, plum, and persimmon trees as well as vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, thyme, parsley, mint, and celery.

For the 15 individuals supported at the site, their days (and diets) will be a lot more vibrant, and we love cultivating relationships and planting seeds of support within the communities we serve.
