Traveling with Dignity Act Update
The bill passed the New York State Senate but unfortunately stalled in the New York State Assembly. This means that for the 2025 legislative session, the bill will not make it to the Governor’s desk for signature and enactment.
While these are unwelcome results, we applaud the coalition of officials and individuals who pushed for its passage and raised awareness.
The next step is to continue building our community such that if and when the bill is reintroduced, there is already a groundswell of support behind it.
Our thanks to CP State, the Hudson Valley Service Providers, and Changing Spaces New York, in addition to our political allies.
