The Patrick Emproto Book Club invites our audience to contribute to a love of reading and fostering deeper connections among our persons supported by donating to our special CP book club for Day Habilitation participants.

The Patrick Emproto Book Club is working in partnership with the Giving Circle to promote literacy in underserved communities. 2022 is extra special this year because the club was named in memory of our dear friend Patrick Emproto who passed away earlier this year. His biggest dream was to learn how to read and towards that goal he quickly became an enthusiastic and vocal member of our Adult Education Series Reading Classes and Book Clubs. Patrick got so much joy out of giving back to his community that his fellow club members wanted to name our Book Club after him.
To support us: Purchase a new book written for children between 7 and 11 years old, or give a monetary donation. Book Club members will purchase books and additional items for children who attend PS 20's After School Program as well as seniors residing at group homes on Staten Island.

The previous drive raised $686, enabling us to provide new books, pajamas and a small personal gift for 24 children in need. Our goal this year is $800- will you help?
